I just bought a new hard drive because i ran out of space and wanted a more portable one and one that didn't need an external power source. However my new hard drive isnt being recognized by the homebrew channel. I tried using the usb 3.0 cable that came with my HD as well as a usb 2.0 that i had lying around and neither seems to work. what am i doing wrong? Thank you in advance.

This is the hard drive that wont work: http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.jsp?name=STAA1000101-fa-goflex-usb3-kit-1tb-black-hd&vgnextoid=a36f8c050497b210VgnVCM1000001a48090aRCRD&locale=en-US&pf=1

check that the drive is partitioned with MBR instead of GPT
and that the partition is formated with FAT32 instead of NTFS (or something else)

I'm not sure what MBR means haha but it is set to that. I did switch it over to fat32 after i got it and also tried with it on NTFS and neither work.
