Hacking homebrew channel, is it really useful?

Hello, I have a 9.5 sysNAND and I was looking at the sky3ds website when I saw that the Ninjax 2.0 was working on a 9.9.0-26 device(if anyone can confirm this is true it will be awesome) with a sky3ds

with the WII, the homebrew channel was awesome you could do anything you wanted to, but I wonder, what is there to do with it on the 3ds? if I could just do whatever I wanted with it like the WII people probably wouldn't have used flashcards

so how is the homebrew channel useful? can I use cia with it? can I run 3ds games with it? or maybe old ds games?

what can it do ?(any other useful manner will be acceptable)

Well, as its name implies, the Homebrew Launcher can... launch homebrews. But no 3DS backups.
atm, there's not that many homebrews games. Those are mainly puzzle games, and they are nice if you don't have time to play much.
However, there are plenty of really cool things that can be done with 3DS homebrews! You can install custom themes with CHMM, play some awesome games on emulators (check the retroarch thread for that), and even backup your games saves to eventually edit them with a save editor!
And the scene is growing really fast right now. There are quite a lot of new releases, so be sure to check the 3DS Homebrew thread!

as long as the current haxors follow their no pirating guidelines, homebrews will never do the same things as they did on the wii. but you do have the flashcart for that so... honestly, other than the save backups for bought games, it probably doesn't do much that would interest you

yeah but I wasn't aware of ninjhax working on anything above 9.2 and in the sky3ds it shows the exploit working on a 9.9.0-26 device

This is not Ninjhax, but Ninjhax 2.

NH on <=9.2 and >9.2 are different....

no... it's not about the version of NH.
your 3ds sysnand version decide what exactly u can do with NH, NH1.1 or NH2.X doesn't matter now.

ninjhax can do different things with a 9.2 or lower console as the system itself is more accessible but, the dev has ceased (most all) work on it and began ninjhax2 it is newer and has more/different permissions than ninjhax

ninjhax2 can be installed on 9.0 and higher

Yes you do. But if you wait a few weeks you will be able to update withouth updating SYSnand
