Hacking Homebrew 11.1.0-34U 2ds

First I'd like to say thanks for any and all things helpful to my question.

I want to just run homebrew on my current system and install legit CIAs no need to downgrade or anything like that. I think I can run slowhax/waithax but I wanted to know do I need to run another exploit like smashax to get the home brew running or any other exploit like that or could I just run slowhax/waithax and install CIAs and play games.

AFAIK you might be able to get access to Homebrew but wont be able to install CFW on that firmware.

So what your saying is that I can't use the waithax/slowhax to just run homebrew I need one of those entry points to be able to (so I'm screwed pretty much because I have none of those games besides smash and that only works with New3ds).

Waithax is a homebrew, so you have to be able to access homebrew somehow to run waithax.
