Gaming High Ping in Valve games

Hey.. I want to use this since the lowest I can get most of the time is 200 ping

Are there any downsides I can look out for?

well it seems to increase the rate at which packets are sent and recieved (the only reason why games dnt do this by default is because they leave some bandwidth aside for other things or other PC/Laptop)

i.e if you have a low bandwidth cnxn then yes this will effect you in the sense that you will ONLY be able to play the game online and nobody else can do anything on the same cnxn

if its only you using the cnxn, or you have a high bandwdith cnxn (something more than 10mb/s) then no there is no problem in it at all

i may be wrong here, but also the general fact is that this is also a windows-related problem, in i other words this latrifix just fixes what it SHOULD have been, so use it with no worries my friend.

basically this is what i have noticed so far (i have a 256kb/s cnxn) ... ping rates are still good regardless, was for example 150ms in cod4 now its about 120 for me ... definately a difference.
