Hello everyone. I'm a Software Engineer by profession and have always been into the video game console hacking scene. I like to have full control of my devices (Edit: I don't pirate games). I've been receiving a lot of help from this forum just by browsing other people's topics and have already hacked my Switch.

I decided to go ahead and make an account so if I have any specific questions I can ask them myself, and maybe help others with what I've learned from hacking my Switch (and other consoles).

Also, I don't know if it is allowed here, but I have a new Switch that is fully hackable and never been opened (bought from a Wal-Mart, was hard to find) and am looking to sell it for around retail. If I don't have enough "rep" to sell it or it's not allowed I won't mention it anymore. I've just seen some people looking for one on this forum.

Glad to be here.

First thing's first, welcome to GBATemp! Switch hacking resources are more than abundant here, (although I doubt you'll run into me there, I stick to the Wii and DSi side of things) and all the people involved are pretty helpful with any issues you'll have.

Secondly, as of selling things on here, you do need to reach a certain level before you can access the trading forum. It'll happen after enough posts/likes on your posts, which should happen pretty quickly.

Anywho, it's really neat that you're a software engineer. I always wanted to get into it, but found myself turning more towards the hardware side of things. Something's just satisfying to me about soldering some traces together, not exploding a battery all over myself 'n my room, and actually having the thing power on and work after I'm done!

I also like the hardware side too (but I draw the line at soldering and working with circuit boards, can't stand that). I build my own PCs, but again if anything is wrong with the circuit boards or soldering is needed, it's going back to the manufacturer hah.

Edit: Thanks for the information about the selling section of the site also. I will try to stay active so I can access that part of the forums. Do you know if there is a certain amount of posts/rep you need before you get access?

I’m not into the super-duper precise, solder 78 centimeter-wide traces stuff, so I’m in a similar boat where if it’s too complicated, I just pay someone else to do it.

I don’t remember what the exact level is, but I think it’s 2 or 3. Don’t quote me on that though.
