Portuguese here.

Played videogames for over 15 years, making it my favourite hobby. I write reviews for a small Portuguese website mainly because I love talking about games!

My favourite games are Dark Chronicle, Dark Souls (1) and Bioshock.

I never played any of them so my most recent goal is to finish all the RE in release order, having already beaten 1 and 2 Remake as Jill and Claire.

I also like watching TV shows, movies, anime, reading comics and listening to music (mainly hip-hop).

Hello there and welcome to the temp.

If you're just getting into RE, I recommend you play RE Zero before moving on to the other numbered titles.
Fair warning that RE 4/5/6 aren't that good, slowly changing the focus of the series.
Luckily Revelations returns the series to the roots and RE 7 is a bloody good horror game.

I'll play all of them, no exceptions made! Just started 0 before 3

I know I said release order but I'm really liking the series and it's obvious every saga has a lesser game.

RE7 will be VR for me!

Yeah... No.

They are not bad games, but they're far from being good at what Resident Evil does best. Starting with 4, the series focused more on being an action tps game, with 4 being good at it, and 6 being an awful tps game.

But you said arent tht good lol now yr saying 4 is good at it -more action in the res games what was needed - most of us luv shooting zombies more than puzzle solving and 4 and 5 in anyone's book should be in ther top 20 games of all time

No, they are not that good as RE games.
You may like shooting, I prefer a good mix of both. Fans of the series in general do tend to prefer the older style of the games.
There are a lot of zombie shooters nowadays, RE doesn't need to become another one.

And lets not even mention the weird plot surrounding RE 5.

Most games hav weird plots like ff7 but everyone still wants a remake - you say fans in general prefer older style of games hav you actually polled a 100 people and asked them or just saw it in a magazine and jumped on the bandwagon lol if asked 100 res luvers I don't think any would say 4 and 5 aren't tht good - some wil say good some wil say great and some wil say best ever
