Hello i have windows vista and i am a standard user...my mom is the admin....and i am the one in the family that knows about computers...so i need to install stuff but i cant and my mom wont let me install anything on her accouint is there anyway to change the UAC so i can istall crap?

login into your mums and change your user permissions?

having knowledge of computers doesn't automatically elevate you to an administrative privilege. Ask her to elevate your account and disable UAC... or do what I did and pre-disabled UAC and remove the Security Center Via vLite.

Win+R, msconfig, , Tools tab, Disable UAC (you need to have elevated privileges to do this)

and if she wont let you in

command prompt
type net user
then fund your mums username
then type EG: net user mum
change password
