Hacking Help With Saves

So I got my new SCL + 1GB MicroSD today and I must say, it's a great product, but I'm having some trouble with saves.

I have renamed the saves correctly from when I used my EZ4.

EZ4 - ROM name = Mario Kart DS.nds
EZ4 - SAV name = Mario Kart DS.sav

Now, I have renamed the saves accordingly to the same style as the patcher makes.

SC - ROM name = Mario Kart DS.nds.dsq
SC - SAV name = Mario Kart DS.nds.sav

So end result is, Mario Kart DS.sav -> Mario Kart DS.nds.sav

However, some games work, while others say it's corrupted.

Ones that work for example are True Swing Golf and Super Mario 64 DS, while Mario Kart DS and New Super Mario Bros, don't.

???

Also, how should I rename my GBA saves?

EDIT: NVM, I re-overwrite them and renamed them again and it seemed to work for all but Tamagotchi... Nooo! Bobotchi

But I still can't get the GBA games to work :/

ahh i just meant how to change the sav file from ez4lite to a sc format

since I have a few saves I want to keep

All I did was change the name of the save to the same name of the DSQ file minus the DSQ at the end.
