Hi Everyone!
So, I need some help if anyone would be kind enough please?
Im not exactly a noob at hacking, I have a pretty powerful Gaming PC that i use to hack (Hehe)
and I have hacked most of my gadgets(Opps!)
and i bought a 3DS last week and said "SC**W IT!, Im not paying these stupid prices for games when i can hack it and get them free!"
So I CFWed it.

Now my question....I have looked EVERYWHERE! and I STILL CANT FIND OUT!
How can I Customise my pre shut down screen please?
Any help would be much appreciated :)
Thank you :)

It now wont boot, it has an exception occured arm11 menu. I have put my backed up data onto the sd card and still wont boot :/

Can someone please help me URGENTlY please?
I tried to mod the pre shutdown screen, and i done everything and encrypted the file, went onto the fbi and installed the cia file
and now everytime i boot, this comes up all the time. I have tried formatting my sd card, and putting on the old stuff, but it still does it. iv tried ignoring the arm11 and doesnt work, i have even gone onto recovery mode but it wont let me update it. anyone please help
im running 11.8 and updated luma

First of all: Please do not ask for help in different threads for the same problem. It makes it harder to help you and it makes it harder to keep track for you (if you get answers on multiple locations).
Hopefully you did read the two red boxes right on the top of the page @Eddypikachu linked to. Okay, the pre-shutdown message is boring and ugly, but it doesn’t sound like a good idea attempt this modification after reading just the boxes. Just my 2cents.
Well…
  • Changing the content of the SD-card will not help, because the Home Menu (change) is on the internal NAND.
  • Turning off the ARM11 crash handler is no good.
  • The second red box of the linked page says as much as: “Messing around with the Home Menu breaks updates” that is probably why the recovery mode can’t do the update.
Did I understand correctly: Your 3DS crashes immediately without any access to the Home Menu, so can’t install anything (like a clean HomeMenu.cia)?

Have you yet tried to restore the NAND-backup you (hopefully) created just before messing around with the home menu?

:!:Do not restore an old NAND-backup if you care for installed titles and saves!
