Gaming Help with modding a PSP 1000

I purchased a PSP 1000 today, and have been trying to install CFW through ChickHEN. However, it won't load. I have the files on the PSP, but it's not working. It always either freezes or crashes before it even loads. Can I get any help? Is there an alternative?

Try restoring default settings I guess? Disable UMD auto start as well. (I have no real experience with using chickhen as I've only used it once and it worked on the first try)

I've had both of those done the whole time.

Apparantly some people have tried over 50 times to get it to work.

How many you will try to get it work I dunno.
1k psps don't really have an alt to chickhen (afaik) since mhuspeed is only for 2k/3k btw.

You sure you're using the ChickHEN R2 for Phats, and not the Slims? The Phat chickhen is only one file.
Try this.

I take it you are on a supported firmware? I'm guessing you are, but it's not actually been asked yet.

Using the phat ChickHEN, on 5.03. Sometimes it freezes, and sometimes it loads the thumbnail and does nothing.

On my first psp it took me like 3 hours of continuous turning on and off, then when I tried to do a friends it took less than 5 minutes, i guess it's just luck

5171 miles from DX to my house. One plane trip.

Anyway, does anyone else have any ideas? It shouldn't be loading the thumbnails and doing nothing...

Is there a way I can make a Pandora Battery and then revert it without buying some device or running a program from an already modded PSP?

PSPTool can do that. Remember to save the original serial (function in PSPTool) as I don't know if you can change it back without it.
