Hello to all, I just need some help with my CPU Fan.

I have a CPU Fan with a 4-pin connector, and what do each of them mean?

I think the colors are yellow, red, blue, green and black.
I know that the yellow and black wires are used for power, and the green for speed control.

What are the red and blue used for?

Pin Name Color
1 GND black
2 +12VDC yellow
3 Sense green
4 Control blue

For some AMD cpu fans:
Pin Name Color
1 GND black
2 +12VDC red
3 Sense yellow
4 Control blue

Sense tells how fast the fan is going, control controls how fast it goes. Ground and +12V, are obviously, power.

You talk about 4 pin fan connectors but then list 5 colors..

Thanks! I really appreciate it

EDIT: thats how my fan was...

some motherboards only have 3 pins, in that case its perfectly fine in plugging a 4 pin plug into it, just the fan will run at max RPM
