my 3ds is cfw but whenever I transferred some files to my 3ds sd card from pc an I reinsert it to my 3ds I turn on the system to go an try an install the files but the folder is empty its as if my 3ds deleted the files as soon as it was booted up what doesnt make any sense is that the folders are there but no files at all inside them can anyone explain why this is happening... its really annoying that it keeps happening to my files some things stay an some do not an the gamesystem doesnt tell you that files were deleted what happens is I reinsert the sd card after I transferred the files from pc to it an as soon as the system boots up an I go into fbi or devmenu nothing exists inside the folders that were there.

A 3DS does not randomly delete files. Have you checked your SD for defects and/or fake? If it is a card with fake memory size you can get this kind of behavior.
  1. Copy all your data from the SD to a computer.
  2. Reformat the SD to FAT32, 32kb cluster size, if bigger than 32GB and using Windows with guiformat.
  3. Check the freshly formatted SD: Windows, Linux, OS X.
    • If you get any errors replace the SD.
    • If you get no errors copy your files back on the SD and try again.
