Well since I realize my PC is shit, and I want to build a PC...
Using extensive Newegg research, I've come up with this parts list.
1x Sony Optiarc 24X DVD/CD Rewritable Drive Black SATA Model AD-7240S-0B - OEM $29.99
1x LOGISYS Computer Area 51 CS51WBK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 480W Power Supply - Retail $34.99
1x Western Digital Caviar Green WD10EADS 1TB SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive $84.99
1x NETGEAR WN111-100NAR USB 2.0 RangeMax Wireless Adapter (may drop this, but a two-slot videocard in the motherboard here may block off the PCI slots) $9.99
1x POWERCOLOR AX5750 1GBD5-PDH Radeon HD 5750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail $129.99
1x RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-530SS 530W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular LED Power Supply - Retail (May not be necessary, advise me on the 480W case power supply vs this one) $39.98
1x CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model VS4GBKIT800D2 G - Retail $73.98
1x Combo:
BIOSTAR TA790GXE 128M AM2+/AM3 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail AND AMD Athlon II X4 620 Propus 2.6GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Processor Model ADX620WFGIBOX - Retail $163.99 ($10 Mail-in rebate) (Also comes with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16833124260 free)
Subtotal: $567.91
Tax (CA 9.75%): $55.37
Shipping (UPS Guaranteed 3 Day Service): $21.42
Total: $644.70
So I want to make this PC have a good price-to-performance ratio while being relatively cheap (preferably less than $600 total, may go higher as a last resort).
What I require:
-the video card (main reason for upgrade from DDR SDRAM, P4 Prescott and integrated graphics)
-at least 500GB hard drive
-DVD burner
-802.11n network adapter
Want:
-preferably quad core CPU with hardware virtualization
-??? (Ask.)
I plan on running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (May change depending on hardware compatibility and memory size). Already got that covered so it wasn't included in the price.
