I turned off my 3ds while in the rxtools menu because I couldn't figure out how to exit it, and when I powered it back on it had a black screen with the light on, thus being soft-bricked as far as I know.
However when it was working the l and r buttons didn't work, so now if I try to run into recovery it doesn't work (A, Up Dpad, L & R), can I somehow fix the l and r buttons? PS: I have tried removing the sd card and blowing into the l and r slots so far.

We're you just in the RXMenu? Or did you do some other task while turning off? Try removing the battery, wait 2 minutes and then plug the battery back in, all that without charging cable attached.

Wait, so take out battery, then leave it out for 2 mins and put it back in, right?

Yes, make it completely powerless for some time, and then try turning it on again.

What have you been exactly doing in the RXMenu?

I was in the launcher, I went to the website and it loaded the .dat, then I turned it off because I couldn't go back a menu. Then when I turned it back on it was softbricked :(

What could you choose in a menu?
