Hacking [HELP!] Restore .SAV for Sky3ds not working?

Hi! I am new to this Sky3ds and I wanted to cheat using Powersaves. Since most of you already know it doesn't work properly, so I thought I should download a .sav file.

So I downloaded a .sav file from here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/3ds-savegame-requests-thread.359139/

I used the "Restore Save" Option on Mario Kart 7 but it doesn't work on Sky3ds. When I load the game, I still have the same save. What should I do???

I don't think those saves work with Sky as (someone correct me if I'm wrong since I'm also a bit new to sky) the saves need the game ID and the unique public or private header to work.

Is there a way I can edit the private header with HxD. Maybe some sort of a tool...
Or is there a specific location of the id itself?

However you still need a unique private header ripped from a game using gateway if you wanna play online.

I don't think you can edit a .sav file with sky army knife. Still, thanks for your help

ah yeah sorry, thought you were talking about editing the game ID to match the save file, hopefully someone with more experience will come here to help ya.

The save game is created based on the unique header. You would basically be losing your ability to play online since you now no longer have a unique header.

after restore the save and put back into sky, you should directly initialize the sky on your 3ds...
so your save wont write into sd card. it loads the save on the sd card.

but with this kind of way, you not be able to go online.....
the header is different with the save you restore....so...BOOM!!!! SAVE CORRUPTION!!!!
