Gaming help please? recouvery mode

Title says it all.
I got my new psp slim
and i hold the r while powering my psp but doesn't work..
help

It may sound like a dumb question, but are you in custom firmware? Turn off your PSP completely. Then, hold the R button down and turn on the PSP, and just keep holding the R button. If nothing comes up, then there's obviously a problem there, and the most likely possibility is that you are NOT in CFW.

Or, you could just very simply go to the PSP Settings and check your firmware.

Yeah, the official firmware doesn't have a recovery mode...

I'm assuming you have OFW because you make it look you bought a psp, unpacked it, and tried to boot it in recovery...

Umm... yes. o-o Three people just told you that. Recovery Mode is only for CFW.
