Im currently trying to delid my CECHK phat because even with the eraser mod, the cell ramps up to 80C while idle in XMB within a couple minutes (using webmans fancontrol, min fanspeed 25%, i set the target to 80 to try and see if i can get the noise to be bearable, to no avail).

Since ive managed to break the cell on two CFWable slims by being completely stupid a few years ago, i tried to go for the "safer" method of using 0.08mm cutting wire instead of the painter knive method.
Spent a lot more time than expected but as far as i can tell, im through all of the glue (used my broken slims as reference to see how much i would have had to cut).
However, the IHS is still stuck to the chip. If i try to move the IHS around by hand, i can see the _tiniest_ bit of movement but thats it.
I tried applying heat with my cheap hot air station (set ot 100C) but that hasnt worked either.

Ive read around a bit and supposedly, sony switched from paste to epoxy at some point. However, i wouldnt expect horrible temps with epoxy (since that shouldnt dry out).

Is there anything else i could try or that im missing?

About the system:
model: CECHK
mobo: DIA-002
cell: CX2990GB (65nm)
