Hi all im really hope you can help me.

1St of all i would like to say that i know how frustrating it is when people ask questions in forums without bothering to look for the answer them self.I have had this problem for he last 3 weeks and still cannot fix it,I suppose my level of computing would be moderate and i usually never have any problems when following instruction off the internet. Its possible that i may be doing something wrong but i dont think so as i have being trying almost daily,i even reset the wii to factory settings and kept trying but still no luck

Ok here goes

Im having problems with Dop Mii,I cannot seem to restore the trucha bug.

I follow the instructions from [-snipped by mod-] and everything seems to go ok until i get to the Stub IOS Removal

I have followed these instructions

# Start DOP-Mii via Homebrew Channel and press A to continue.
# Choose the first option (IOS: 36) by pressing A.
# You will see another menu, where you also have to choose the first option IOS, BC, MIOS by pressing A.
# Use left/right to navigate the IOS files looking for stubs (it will display (STUB), on the right under Currently Installed).

When i look at stubs IOS 202, 222, 223, 249 and 250 they are not installed and there is no option to uninstall them, however when i go the the USB loader it tells me that these are still installed.

When i run a system check from DOP Mii it tells me that ISO versions are disabled so it has not worked.

I have followed the guide step by step and everything goes perfect until i get to Stub IOS Removal

Im hoping hat maybe someone has encountered a similar problem and may know how to fix it,My firmware is 4.1 the Wii was bought about 1 1/2 yrs ago and updated in the last few weeks.

Select IOS36 or IOS249.
Then install IOS36 at custom slot 236 with all patches applied.
Restart DOP-Mii, select IOS236.
Now try again.
But main question remains. Why do You want to remove stubs? There is no point of doing this. You won't get any additional space for saves, etc.
Having patched IOS236 or IOS36 allows You to install IOS249. That's all You need for cfg usb loader.
Also Your soft-mod instructions are outdated - more info in my signature.

Thanks for the help Mike,i will follow your guide soon and let you know how i got on.

The only reason i wanted to remove the stubs is because the guide says so.

I owe you one,it worked perfectly and without any problems,I just need to get a HD now,I have a 1.5TB HD but i think it might be too big

Is it possible to play BackUp Games via CD/DVD

Most loaders can load from DVD. But newer Wiis have a drive that can't read burned DVD backups at all.

There's no reason that you couldn't use your harddrive. Any updated USB loader can load from NTFS or FAT drive as well as WBFS. Just add a "wbfs" folder to the root and use WiiBackupManager to transfer your games to it.

Thanks again for all the help,After giving it some taught i think it might be a better option to use he HD to load the games.

However there seem to be a lot of Guides explaining how to do this.Im not too sure which guide to follow.

Im using a Buffalo DriveStation 1.5Tb external hard drive and to be honest im not too sure what to do next.Do i just add a WBFS folder to the root of the HD and then cnnect it to the wii?

THe HD is also password protected so will it still work on the Wii?I dont have the HD atm im waiting for a friend to drop it back otherwise i could check myself

Well seeing that your HD is password protected, depending on what you're keeping on the drive you may be better off making a partition just for the games. I'm pretty sure all of the loaders will let you choose the partition that the games are on.

Just buy 250GB 2,5" low power sata drive and usb enclosure.

Unfortunately my 1.5 TB HD wont work, maybe if i added a partition it might.

However i did have a Philips 2 gb memory stick, which i formatted to WBFS i then added a back up of sports island which was also EFBS to the memory stick and it worked perfectly.

Thank you everyone for the help.

Anyone have any recommendations on what hard drive to buy?I have an old internal HD from a laptop which is about 200Gb i think i mught buy a USB enclosure and format that drive to WBFS,

Quiet one.
QUOTE(privatepile @ Sep 13 2010, 01:01 AM) have an old internal HD from a laptop which is about 200Gb i think i mught buy a USB enclosure and format that drive to WBFS,
FAT32 not WBFS

I bought a Seagate FreeAgent GO 320GB external hard drive. No AC power needed, one usb cord and it is small! I had to download a special formatting program to format the drive as FAT, but you can just google that. Once I did that I used WiiFlow and selected the partition and started installing my games to the drive. Just my 2 cents.

Edit-- I used to use WBFS but I like to have my games, my homebrew apps, and my personal files on the drive for easy access. Plus I didn't want to make a seperate partition for games, I only have 12.
