Help needed after R Trigger button repair

Hey everyone I need help with a very minor issue I have with my Original 3ds.

So my R Trigger button stopped working altogether so I have replaced the ribbon cable with a new one which has got the button working again. Which is awesome but I now have the very minor issue of the fact the R button now no longer makes a clicking noise when pressed. Which obviously means I have done something wrong lol.

Now I know everyone is thinking well why bother to fix this very minor issue when the button is now working. And yes I somewhat agree except for the fact I am a weirdo lol and it is annoying the hell out of me the fact the L button clicks when pressed but the right one now doesn't.

Any of you lovely people know what is going on and how to fix.

Yep the new R button ribbon cable was taken out of one of my other 3ds systems that I have never used before. Because I was to impatient to order one from the internet lol.

I did put the spring back in but perhaps wrongly.
