been trying all day, im on emunand 10.5 and i have the split nands and everything. i tried backing up my emunand, formatting my emunand and getting a new ssnd or whatever and was successful in getting into the eshop that way. but when i restore my emunand i get stuck with the same error code 022-2634. i also tried the freemultipatcher thing and running the eshop through hans and it wouldnt even give me spoofing options. what am i missing guys i just want the new smash dlc.

heres the deal.

Backup emunand.
Format with tinyfomat
Setup nnid

Run decrypt9 from homebrew menu and backup nnid from emunand

Restore emunand
restore the backed up nnid

Hope this helped.

If having trouble I can go into a more detailed explanation

What you will need:
Tiny Format
https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-tinyformat.391635/
Decrypt9WIP
https://gbatemp.net/threads/download-decrypt9-open-source-decryption-tools-wip.388831/
Emunand9
https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-emunand9tool-open-source-emunand-formatter-manager.405921/

  1. Backup emunand with Emunand9
  2. Format emunand using tiny format
  3. Setup nnid after format finishes
  4. In Decrypt9 under emunand options, dump nnid
  5. Restore emunand from backup
  6. Inject nnid backup into restored emunand
This is how I fixed my issue. Hope it helped.

You can backup and restore the emuNAND.bin from Decrypt9, elimanating the need for the third program on the list.

ok that method worked except for one thing. i lost everything i owned on my emunand. probably because the new id was well...new and it thought i didnt own my stuff. i used the nnid.save btw. is there any work around for this where i can keep my stuff or is this just a side effect i didnt know about?

What do you mean you 'lost everything you owned'? You lost all of your CIA you had installed?

I thought that you could. But I was just going by what I used. I didn't want to give instructions with something I hadn't used myself. But maybe it's time I looked more into decrypt9

Restore emunand backup.

Make sure you signed into the same nnid you was using.

Also, I had a scare myself when I did it as I thought everything was deleted off my card too.

Try turning the system off and back on and see if everything comes back before freaking out.

Thank @d0k3 for making it possible to dump and restore the NNID. Their program made it possible.

From what I understand there are mixed results. Some people are immediately able to get back into eshop. I myself had to restore the NNID backup.

So there's about a 1-in-3 shot of immediate access to eshop just by formatting and restoring.

But so far I've had a 100 percent success rate doing it my way above.

they need to have a strong line up on the launch titles too. I think they should move metroid prime 4 to the next console because by now it has been quite a while and there's no release date scheduled yet

lol there's a guy selling mig switch in usa on ebay for $200/ea he's definitely going to get nailed with dmca by tomorrow

well as far as metroid prime 4 is concerned, the next system probably is similar enough to the current gen they can probably easily just slap it onto a next gen cart and call it good :P
