You are able to get to your vwii thus it isn't bricked. Either you need a y cable or you have an issue with your drive or you have installed something improperly. There is a thread for usb loader gx that tons of people have posted this exact problem the search function on this site works wonders.

The USB ports on the Wii U (and Wii) output low power. For a lot of hard drives, it's not enough or barely enough to power it. If you are using a standard cable, most likely you need a Y cable. If you are using a Y cable, you need a different hard drive or external power.

Thank you all for replying, but I do have a y cable and I tried using a 16gb flash drive to see if it was the hard drive but it also turns off.

Also, if you are using a Y-cable, maybe the HDD has a built in spin down to preserve power.

Has anyone ever tested if the hidden usb suspend thing being disabled helps some drives like this? I mean, I'd imagine it would for games that don't load often?
Thank you all for replying I was able to fix this simply by deleting usbloader gx completely and downloading it again. I'm grateful for your help:bow::yay::yaywii:
