Hacking Help for a newbie

Hello! I am about to buy a New Nintendo 3DS XL, never had a nintendo handheld before and planning to buy a microsd card for it I think 64GB would be okay plus a flashcard. There are plenty of flashcard out there mainly I would choose Sky3DS but still can't really decide which to buy, can you guys help which one to choose? Which is the safest to also play online? Also I live in Romania so can anyone suggest which reseller to use to buy a flashcard and get shipped here fast? Any other suggestions for a newbie? Thanks all!

If your N3DS has a firmware of 9.2 or below you can use Gateway or install a free SEE.

If the N3DS has a firmware of 9.3 or above your ONLY option is Sky3ds.

Both are safe to play online if you don't screw yourself over.

What do you mean by this? I read that private header is the safest to use but how much safe it is? Or what do you suggest? Thanks.

Private header is the only way to be safe with a Sky3ds or a Gateway rom.

Public headers will get you banned.

Well it depends what firmware youre on...

I usually buy from modchipsdirect, they ship from New York. Peachds ship from California.

Be warned tho, Nintendo has rolled a new anti-piracy check that blocks new games from playing in the Sky3ds. All games released before work as normal.

The most significant game affected so far is the legend of Zelda Tri Force Heroes and the incoming Pokemon Super Mistery Dungeon.

You can use gateway Launcher without purchasing one if you use CFW

I'm pretty sure there was a re-release due to fans asking for it and that one came with 9.5 so you can't be sure it's going to be a 9.2 version.

Both are equally safe online provided you acquire a private header and patch all your roms correctly that being said CFW is 100% safe since it uses CIA's instead of the .3DS format.

You can install a free custom firmware, it will give you the access to play every single game that has come out for free

No need for crappy flashcarts, worrying about headers, antiparacy checks, free easy homebrew access, the list goes on...
