ROM Hack [HELP] Finally moving on from Rxtools

I have an old3ds that ran Rxtools. It was years ago when I did that but a recent situation where my younger sibling updated the sysnand to 11.6 happened.

Now I've been away from the scene since I got Rxtools, but honestly I don't get all the complicated stuff, I'm just really good at reading guides.

I don't know if I'm royally screwed or what but that flashing colours thing from holding the L button while powering up does not work anymore.

How do I access the emunand again?

I also saw people say to switch from rxtools because it's very outdated

If your sysNAND has been updated to 11.6, then menuhax isn't going to work anymore. Menuhax can't load CFW on any sysNAND version above 9.2. You need to follow this guide to install B9S and Luma3DS:
