Hello all!

I'm a Singaporean living in Australia.

I stumbled upon GBAtemp while doing a search on google to find for a solution to my broken Switch.

Hope I can get help to fix my switch and get involve in the interesting discussions on the Nintendo Switch scene.

Cheers!

Welcome. 你系星加坡人所以你识讲广东话,系咪? We should only speak English here, I’m being naughty. I also live in Australia (not Japan)

I know I used to be a bit of a shit in my late 10s when it came getting into online arguments.
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
    That could be it.
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
Likewise, though, there are plenty of close-minded people on social media.
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
Though I guess that more or less factors into the whole "getting offended" aspect.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Social media life that's why it's better kids learn early age and not get coddled 24/7
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
    I can agree to that.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
And why I feel like psychotherapy should be as normal as a doctor's appointment
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
Which is funny, because kids in elementary school fight and argue a lot. You'd think people would learn from that.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Well 80/90 babies weren't born with a screen in their face and everyone having a camera on their phone to expose people easier
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
In a way we were, with TV, movies and video games. But we often times weren't allowed to consume it 24/7.
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
Parents would always tell us to go outside and get some exercise.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Yeah but compared to smartphones everything is recorded way quicker
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
Nowadays, there are a lot of parents who can't even be bothered to do that much for their kids.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Not saying it's bad that kids have smartphones but it's harder to get away with things stupid kids do to each other over them
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Imagine in early 90s giving a swirly while dumb kids record it getting themselves in trouble
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
Frankly, I'd allow them to have their smartphone when they're away from home, or when my wife and I aren't around.
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
But no other time, until they're in high school.
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
Wouldn't be any tablets in the house, either.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
I'm not a parent but even an idiot like me knows how sneaky the little shits are
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
    Yep.
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
Hence why I would be checking their phone the moment they got home.
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
I'd be invasive until they turned 16.
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
Or rather, until they're in Junior year.
  • Delerious @ Delerious:
At that point, they can do what they want on their phone.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
I'd still check until they turn 18 play store is a fest of shit
