Hardware HDTV Native Resolution

I recently bought a 22' 1080P VIZIO M221NV and the only pc compatible native resolutions it has are 800 x 600, 1024 x 768 & 1920 X 1080.
Is it technically possible by to add one more native resolution (1360 x 768) to an HDTV. Maybe by firmware update?

Any LCD or Plasma panel can only have one native resolution.
Native resolution is the actual number of pixels in the panel.

1920 X 1080 would be your native resolution because you have a 1080p tv. No there can not be more than one native resolution since it is the number of pixels on the screen which can't change.

Instead of native resolution I should say computer support resolution. Anyway here are the tech specs.

Notice that it says that 1360 x 768 is available but it's a mistake.
I chatted with a vizio support rep and according to the instruction booklet the only computer resolutions it supports are 640 x 480, 800 x 600, 1024 x 768 & 1920 x 1080.

this actually has to do with your computer, its always best to use your native resolution.
whats your actual problem with 1080p? things look to small on the screen?
trust me, you always want a higher resolution.

My comps native resolution is 1280 x 800.
I'm still using windows xp and whats the recommended icon/font size?

recommended sizes are whatever you can read comfortably. is that your problem? things hard to read.
computers dont really have a "native" resolution. but your graphics card has a maximum resolution it can output. also what type of cable are you using to connect this device? what is your actual problem? black boarders around the screen?

I using a VGA cable and my pc doesn't have a hdmi port. No, not black borders more like overscale. Anyway I set it to 1920 x 1080 and increased the dpi. Also put a firefox zoom plugin.
