HD Media Player for Wii

    What's the highest quality the Wii can output using a homebrew media player?Has anybody actually tested this?Any input would be appreciated.Thanks.

    The Wii just can't do anything beyond 480p. It is beyond its hardware capabilities.

    480p if you have component cables.

    HIGHEST IS 480p or 576i!

    So it doesn't matter if I have component video.I thought it was restricted by nintendo, but could be bypassed by homebrew.

    Sure it can be bypassed, if you want to render 2-3fps. The hardware just can't handle it.

    Use one of the various ways to plug your computer into the TV instead if you want to watch stuff on it.
