Hacking HBC question

How do I open .tar.gz?

Every other thing i need is rar or zip but this thing is some weird file type...

Is it supposed to open or be extracted?

Also where do i put it on my SD card when I'm softmodding it?

tar.gz is a type of compression

You can use 7zip to open it.
You place that on the root of your SD card.
So if your SD card is in the I:/ drive, just drag and drop it straight onto it.
It shouldn't be in any folder in the card.
