Apple Having trouble restoring iPod...

I am trying to upgrade to 6.1 and jailbreak before the update window is closed...
I restored and kept getting error 21, so I realized it was because I used a custom ispw (downgraded) and so I needed to go to DFU mode. That worked but now I am getting error 1602....
iPod touch 4g

any ideas?

Things to try:

• Use a different USB port
• Use a different computer
• Make sure you're in DFU mode
• Make sure your hosts file isn't blocking Apple connections (can be caused by having used TinyUmbrella)
• Re-downloading the 6.1 firmware for your iPod

I am trying on a different computer, and will post my results

EDIT: seems to be working, on the apple logo installing bar.
Why is itunes always such a big issue? i have had so many issues with whats supposed to be easy to do...
