    It looks like they are trying to make the game harder.
    I didn't play the first one extensively, but I don't believe they had arrow buttons in it.

    Either way, looks sweet!

    Gameplay looks fun but I probably wouldn't play it. The background with the anime girls dancing is a turn off for me. I like DJ Max's style of music games where the background is very neutral and has a video running.

    anime style, but the characters aren't of anime origin.
    they are(mostly atleast) official mascots for voices in a music-oriented text to speech engine called vocaloid.
    though their popularity made them appear in many other places.

    Same here but about the first game in the series, it was a tad too easy... But i guess that's expected when you've listened to those songs before...
