Hey!!! I just got a back up of super mario galaxy 2 and i have a 4.0u wii with a wasabi DX and no softmod at ALL. When i start it, it is just a blank screen nothing happens. i am guessing because i have to update my wii. Is it safe to do it on hardmod wiis? if not, would it be ok to take out my mod chip, update, and put it back in? PLZ REPLY AND THANK THOSE WHO DID. Also my AIM is thundershck so we can chat if we get on at the same time. and my email is [email protected]. (thundershck is missing an O on purpose)

Installing the latest version of IOS56 (v5405) should fix your issue. You can do this safely via DOP-Mii.
It is generally safe to update... but if you go to 4.2, out-of-region games won't be read in the disc channel.
