Hacking HAN vs CFW

Hi,

I have 2 PS3s, one super slim and one phat CECH(J), I only want to use PS2/3 games as i use PS1/PSP on my vita while my emulators are on other consoles.
What i understood i that HAN is more than enough for my needs and there is no need to bother with a full CFW.

1- Is my above assumption correct? or will i be missing on good stuff that i am not aware of?
2- Do i have to sign pkg files for each PS3 console separately?
3- If i have pkg files without their rap files, are they worthless and should be deleted or there are other ways to get around that? and does this rule apply to PS3 and PS1 pkg files
4- My main source for PS3 games is NoPayStation but i noticed that it stores the rap files in a separate exdata folder with an albeit different name, i have thousands of pkg files so is there a way to know exactly which rap file belongs to which pkg file or i have to do it manually?
5- is there a way to download only the rap files from NoPayStation without downloading the whole pkg file?
6- if this against forum rules then please ignore it, but is there a way to get rap files if you have just pkg files?

if you want to share any other tips or advice on PS3/2 games then i will be thankful

Custom firmware on boot, running unsigned code, Cobra, Dynamic fan control, A lot more retroarch cores work, Iso, ftp server, Dex online mod menu's and such,

I just use a cecha01 and don’t worry about any of that. But, I would ditch the superslim because you have to start the exploit every time you turn it on. There’s apps you can get on brewology which will let you play PS2 games easily on a CFW console.

cfw is better than hen but hen is good too ps2 games dont work good on hen at least so far i advise you play with fat and cfw but remember most fat models life is short and sooner or later they have ylod keep your super slim for such day

If you can open the fat and clean it periodically it will last a long time. Gotta replace the thermal paste because the stuff Sony used was crap.

if you want full ps2 compatibility, use the phat ps3... though some games run fine on the PS2 emulator, alot of games lag or don't run at all.
