Thank you very much for your usefull information. I tried beta 1.22 for the receiver but i wont start after installing the firmware so i tested 1.05 beta and it's working fine. For the nes30 controller i went for 2.73 beta. It's a bit strange with it, without any configuration in retroarch the d pad works in all nes games. But in some snes games like all mortal kombat games the d pad doesen't work. I ordered two sfc30 controller and will thest them again. As i saw on the 8bitdo side, they are using the same firmware like the nes30.

Maybe there is a way to save and load retroarch settings? So we don't nee to run the controller configuration after importing a retroarch update. Btw i'm using the xmb theme and it looks very nice.

Tried also some n64 games for the first time. Most of them run fine. I never playd n64 before amd i don'like the feel of this games. NES and SNES are much better for me.

1.22 for receiver? I think you might have flashed it with the retro receiver drivers (non nes classic) they are different due to the protocols it uses to connect. That is probably why it did not work. I don't see a 2.73 beta driver for NES30, just a 2.72 beta 0.

I maybe wrong but you may be using incorrect drivers. Unless it is a typo, then not too sure. I am not using any native NES games from either original 30 nor added any using NESC emulator. Mine are all running through RetroArch. The settings save, when I set it the first time for any of my CPS1/2. They worked fine with SNES, Genesis, and GBA as well. I have tested so far, SFC30/SNES30/NES30 controllers all seem to work fine between all of the games after the initial rebinding. These are beta drivers, so it could still have issues. You may get more assistance directly from 8Bitdo.

Please let me know if it was a typo for the driver numbers or if you used different ones.

On a side note. I am trying to see if I can get some Overlay borders added in for NES, SNES, Genesis, and handhelds to work with in the build of Retroarch. I saw that there were some already done before. Just seeing if it can be added to the hmod.

Hey guys. Got the core thing figured out now.

Added new retroarch and installed it.

After reading the last couple of pages I will now add snes9x2005, and genesis_plus .hmod files.

Question, I'm in the middle of the sync process of loading games with the new retroarch already installed, and still have to add snes2x2005 and genesis_plus .hmod files.

Can I add other .hmod core files and then install them and have them work, or do I have to install them and then do a "Full Sync" again with all the games?
Thanks.

You only need to reinstall the retroarch mod as long as you didn't change the command lines.

Hmmm....I find tools for injecting NES/SNES etc. ROMs into 3DS files to play NES games on the 3DS, but I can't seem to find anything that does the reverse (takes a .3DS or .CIA file of a 3DS virtual console game and converts that to a .nes or .fds ROM)............

Do you mean convert a *.3DS file into a *.NES file?

Emulate a 3DS game with a NES hardware/software?!

It's a non sense, impossible!

Private joke : Simply modify the file extension from *.3ds to *.nes...

Apologies if this has been answered already, but is there a way to completely override the default emulator and use FCEUmm (or Nestopia) even for the original 30 games? I noticed the colors for Legend of Zelda looked much more vibrant on FCEUmm than stock.

is there a 3do or atari jaguar module?

I can see Jaguar working well as many games merely used the 68000 and ignored the tom and jerry chips; this means they'll run as well as Genesis does.

3DO might run decent, issue is the games are huge. Good luck getting any ISO to take on the NES classic.

NBA Jam TE for 32X boots up OK, menus work fine, but once the match starts, the screen goes black, and just the music plays. Has anyone else experienced that? I saw in one of the YouTube videos that was a 32X concept, NBA Jam did the same thing for him.

having the same problem. Also on WWF RAW 32x the Menus are fucked but gameplay is ok. Knuckles Chaotix seems to run normal

Thanks. I got the original Arcade version loaded up instead, but it's a pain to get it set up for a 2nd player, so I'd rather have the 32X version run, if possible.

No. Since both GitHub repos are maintained by me, they have the same modules. Both use snes9x2005 in the latest release.

As of now, no. FB Alpha looks for neogeo.zip in the ROM folder. I intend to fix this so that you'll need to add it only once for all NG games to work.
For cores like PicoDrive (Mega CD) or PCSX ReARMed (PlayStation), you can use BIOS template to add the BIOSes.

Look at README.md

Thank you very much. By the way. Can you add zipped iso files for playstation? or will those not work?

I definitely found discussions about extracting files from the 3DS stuff... But its vague and extremely difficult... You apparently have to own the game or have decrypted copy of the files..... Also apparently part of the extraction process requires the 3DS be used itself, or have access to something called a xorpad file.

Now the good news is that the Japanese released Nazo no Murasame on Wii Virtual Console in Japan. Virtual consotle uses 'wads' and the system has been fully descrypted and people have had much luck extracting the roms from the system and testing them against original NES roms to check for modificaitons and the like. There are plenty of tools for extracting roms for this purpose. That might be the direction to look...Find the Nazo no Murasame VC wad (it should be exactly the same as the VC rom used in the 3DS version, as that version isn't translated) and still be worth checking out for the tests.

Well, you can pack them, but RetroArch unpacks them in the temp folder anyway, so there's no point in doing that
Maybe I was doing something wrong, but the psx hmod you provided runs horrible. I used a previous one I build with one of your templates (PCSX-ReARMed r22 751c8c2) and it works perfectly again.

So i have the parent Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr roms downloaded but noted they are both missing some sound effects. Do I have to also download a child rom to get the missing sound effects?

Anyone with any help with this? I read somewhere that older versions of mame required a sound pack to be installed for the missing sfx. So do I download the sound pack and paste it into the zip folder with the parent rom?
