I have a number of games on the vita that lag like molasses that I have tried on several Vitas that all play the same. Assassins Creed Liberation and Jak & Daxter Trilogy are the first two that come to mind.

I was wondering if anything has been developed in the hacking community to maybe remedy this? If so I'll hack today because as it stands these games are unplayable as the frame rates are so low it gives me headaches.

Not hacked, I would be interested in hacking if someone maybe developed a tool that could disable various graphic elements ( v-sync, anti-aliasing, etc) to make the games run smoother.

Probably asking too much from a largely dead scene.

These games probably run like trash because they are too graphically intensive for the vita. No level of hacking can really fix that.

Yea good idea lets disable video sync

There are various plugins that allow you to set the Vita's CPU to 444mhz/GPU to 222mhz in game (which is the maximum allowed for the Vita's hardware as set by Sony), this would increase the FPS to a more stable point in some games that don't run as well. I don't believe the Jak and Daxter trilogy sees too much of an improvement (I think it still sits around 25-30fps with OC), but for other games it works quite well.

There was also something being worked on ages ago by @Rinnegatamante that would allow you to easily change the resolution at which games would run called VitaRescale, however it hasn't been updated since it was placed on Github so that's mostly out. If this were fully developed and worked as intended, you could probably lower the resolution at which the games are rendered at and see a fair boost in the FPS.
