Gaming Hackable?

I want to buy a good lookin' PSP I can hack. I found a Slim White Star Wars PSP 2001 (model not year). And it's on firmware 3.95.

Is everything good? I don't know the exact TA number of the motherboard but are all Star Wars PSP's hackable?
Any tips or other various precautions I should take before I install a custom firmware?
