ROM Hack Hack on top of a hack

I hacked my 3ds back in the day and was wondering if I can run an updated hack on top of mine? I like the fact the latest hack let's you go online without having to launch that ctr app.

I can simply run this whole process again?


I don't want to lose any of my save data. Thanks.

First off, never follow a YouTube video guide, as they get outdated extremely quickly. Secondly, if you have Arm9LoaderHax installed, then you can update using this guide https://3ds.hacks.guide/a9lh-to-b9s (You can check what type of hax that you have by holding select on boot and seeing what version of Luma3ds you are running. >7.0.5 means B9S, <7.0.5 means A9LH.) If you have B9S, you can just follow this part of the 3ds hacks guide https://3ds.hacks.guide/finalizing-setup, and you should be good. Neither of these ways will make you lose your save data, but it still a good idea to back it up, using something like Checkpoint, https://github.com/FlagBrew/Checkpoint/releases.
