Dang... idk whats wrong with mine then. It freezes every time and enemy shoots, or I shoot...
How are you Entering the Homebrew Menu to Load it?
- Best way: Hold R and Select a Game from the Home Menu. Allows more Memory, and whatnot. Should get something that you will not use. Or if you have a Game Card will work.

Do you have any Plugins that increase the CPU/Graphics? Might want to remove them.

No I am playing vanilla Doom II, Also, I have been holding R and launching a game to enter homebrew menu... Sucks cause I can't figure out the issue for like a week now..

No idea on Vanilla Doom. To be honest, just started working with GZDoom this Morning. So I dont know all the Limitations. Hoping that this Emulator/Port will continue to get worked on.

Yeah same! Seems like the OP is active, so it should be getting worked on, I suppose! ;]

I am hoping someone ports Zandronum, so we can play Doom online with people!

Just Updated to AMS 0.9.2 (kind of had to thanks to someone @matias3ds with his Cheat Titles containing AMS 0.9.2 items that caused a Mismatch Error on my System). Not all bad. Least I now can confirm the Hekate Issue was indeed Hekate with the latest Build (5.0.0). So should actually give him Props.

Anyway.......Brutal Doom runs perfectly.

Okay so! Thanks to you! My gam runs FLAWLESSLY NOW! When I first installed GzDoom on my switch like 1 week ago, I didn't know to hold R and launch a game for the homebrew menu, I was holding R and launching Album. I first started using the better method, like 2 days ago. But I guess I haven't tried playing GZDoom since then. So you made me think about it last night. I jsut tried it and it runs flawlessly, even with Complex Doom Mod. ;]

Make sure you're running it with increased RAM (ie from NSP hbmenu or by overriding a game).
If you are, post logs and the list of mods you are using.

Not sure what you mean by NSP hbmenu exactly, but when I try game override GZDoom isnt listed. Ive been launching it through the album thing.

NVM I got it to work :D

Hey, I put a savefile of Ultimate Doom from my PC to the Switch and I can't seem to run it. Apparently the save is from an older version. Would anyone know what to do?

if that's from another GZDoom version, you're out of luck.

GZDoom is widely known for incompatibilities between each version, that is minor or not.

When changing resolution, in the console it says,

Real resolution: 1920x1080p
Emulated resolution: [selected preset resolution]

Is this right? Does GZdoom render at 1080p then the video options just scale the window or something? Any way of lowering the "real" resolution to something lower when in handheld mode for example? Or is it just displaying wrong?

It renders at the emulated resolution, then upscales to the real resolution. AFAIK it also does so on PC. So this shouldn't be affecting performance if that's what you mean.
