Gaming GTA Chinatown Wars Multiplayer

Hey folks.
Anyone know a reason why my friend and I wouldnt be able to get a game running?
Every time we try to start one it counts down to 1 or GO and freezes.
He is using the actual game and I am using CycloDS, no cheats activated.


Anyone have any ideas?
I was thinking it might be due to the fact I have a patched version, would that do it?

yup,patch gta roms doesn't work properly on mp,get a clean rom,and use the cheat instead
