I'm usually a lurker, but created an account to PM someone. Then found out I need to post multiple times to PM so I'll say Hi to some other newbies.

For what it's worth, your post count doesn't increase in the introductions section. If you're desperate to PM somebody, you can post on their profile and ask them to PM you. If memory serves, you can reply to conversations, just not start them.

Or you could just reply to a few open discussions in Gen Off Topic. Whatever works!
