    What do you mean by "type of hd"? If High Definition, it is 720p (HD Ready).
    720p/1080i = HD Ready
    1080p = Full HD

    This doesn't run a native HD resolution. 720p will look a bit stretched and 1080p will look slightly squished.

    Sounds like a monitor. HDTVs usually are 720p or 1080p. A widescreen monitor sometimes have 1050p.

    Yeah, this does sound like a monitor, but the lack of VGA/DVI makes it seem like a TV. It's got a 16:10 aspect ratio, and most HDTVs come with a 16:9 aspect ratio. Like someone else said, 720p is going to seem a little stretched like this. However, it's perfect for the XBOX 360, which supports 1680x1050 natively.

    Anyway, while I may sound paranoid, my experiences with Alba products aren't the best. I'd personally take out some kind of insurance as soon as possible, before it breaks.

    Also, did you get this as a gift or something? I mean, it seems a bit weird that you'd buy a new TV if you don't know anything about it [IMG] Maybe it's just me being a nerd, but I thoroughly check everything about the TV before I buy it.
