Gaming Got a few questions

I just got my switch today with all the news that is coming. It came with version 4.1.0 on it and I only got Mario with it.

My only question really is when it tries to connect to my Nintendo account it wants me to too update. Is this worth it, is there anything I can't do on latest firmware that I can do now.

I think best option stay on lowest firmware. Dont update.

Without updating, you won't be able to access any internet services at all. In fact, you should probably disable internet so that your Switch doesn't automatically download an update. That is, if you want to stay on a lower firmware. You'll be limited to the games that can be played on your firmware and lower, but it would be a good precaution if you're waiting for homebrew. Although, if you've been following the scene news of late, you'll have heard that new exploits were made public that allow any Switch to be hacked on any firmware. The golden rule still applies -- don't update if you don't need to. But even if you do, it seems like there'll still be an exploit available.
