Let's hope I can transfer just a single title! Also if you really want, when the 3DS transfer software comes out (next week hopefully) you can just transfer Excitebike 3D to Unit B![]()
It's on the top screen, on the corner.. I tried, but the screen plastic layer wont let me touch the screen there.Have you tried putting pressure on the dead pixel? Like poking it... I know it happened often on my DS Lite and all I had to do was poke it, and it'd flickl then disapear.
It gets really noticeable. But on the bright side, is very close to the corner, which, I hope will make me forget about it!I doubt that. This is on the 3D top screen. Those will stand out like dirt on the screen.3DS unit B, definitely.
The dead Pixel won't be too much of a problem, eventually you'll forget it's there.
A brand new unit here costs R$899,99 (Which is ~US$450 !!! ), so, buying a brand new one is out of question.Did you buy TWO second-hand units? Geez, sounds like you got bad deals. I started off thinking you bought Unit B yourself and that you could just return it (I can't stand dead pixels), but it sounds like that may not be the case.
You know, you always take a screwdriver to it and have the best of both worlds. I know, it's not a very good solution because you risk breaking something, but still...
There's a loooong story why I ended up with two 3ds units. I wont bother explaining it now, because it will be TL;DR anyway.
About risking breaking something... Well, I fixed my ipod touch 3rd gen screen, but there's always the chance of some dust getting inside it, like happened with my ipod. Since it was broken, I'm happy with a working ipod with very few marks on screen, but the 3ds works fine, I don't think it's worth the risk.
Well, dead pixel is covered with warranty, and 3DS is selling less than year so you can get new one (or repair of screen) for free...
There's no Nintendo Service for that here. Too badIf you don't care about ambassador programme or about making a slightly bigger profit: sell both and buy a brand new one.
Out of the two though, the seconds is better, send it in to Ninty under warranty to get the pixel problem fixed.
Also, when you buy something in another country, there are very few companies who are willing to give international support.
(Just for example, I asked a new charger for Nintendo, they asked me to buy from their local distributor. It costs R$120 ! (US$60!), which is nonsense! - A friend traveled to US last week and brought to me a charger+cradle for US$15.)

I tried to take some screenshots from the screen. It's very very hard, took me several attempts, with many camera configurations. Here's the ones that ended up being good to show:

You will need to see the images in full size, to be able to see the dead/stuck pixel.
It's on the top left. The first image is really easy to see it.
I think that, being located there, it should be hard to get in the way and be extra annoying. At least I hope so.
