I remember hearing about this somewhere a while ago but I forgot about it. Anyways I recently came across it again and saw that the beta is out. I was just wondering has anyone tried it? Is it good? From what the site tells me it certainly looks like it will be pretty nice.

kind of off topic but, i have 2 windows partitions already. 1 with XP, the other with vista.

if i get VMware Player, would i be able to get on XP, run vmware, and be able to use vista while on XP?
and gOS as well.

Its just Ubuntu repackaged with an emphasis on web apps (and Enlightenment as the default WM). Nothing special.

I tried this and its not that great if you don't have any internet connection most of those Dock items won't work

Nothing special. There are lighter and more feature rich linux distros out there.

So there is not way to install the drivers manually? Or how do you even go about getting them to work?

I wanted to know in general not for just my computer.

Lots of distros come on live cds that you can download. Just burn them and then boot from the CD. If everything works you can then install to a partition. All 'buntu variants are live cds.
