so newegg is having a sale right now and this is one of the items

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16889253229

    it comes to $359.99
with shipping it totals $369.99 (no sales tax)

now big concern is there is no analog audio out which is what both my aging surround sound system and also my wireless headphones depend on (they dont have optical)
unless you can convert that 3.5mm input to an output which I doubt

right now I have a JVC 27" CRT

the sound, I would rather not have to buy a $60 converter

though another option could be to run composite audio output wires from every device then use a cheap composite switcher

Do NOT get yourself Toshiba products. Toshiba is a hoorrrrible manufacturer. Their shit breaks so unbelievably easy. You buy yourself a Toshiba you're going to be spending A LOT more than $60.00

    what are you talking about

they have the most reliable laptops out of all company's, consumer reports rated their TV's as mid range reliable (beating a top brand like samsung by a couple of spots)

Honestly I would not buy a TV unless it had all the options I wanted. Their are so many brands of TVs out right now that you should not ave to worry about finding everything you actually want in one.

    Samsung is a great brand.
I have a Philips and its pretty good.
Polaroid is a cheaper brand and I had a 19 inch that has worked good as a TV/Monitor for maybe 4 years I think.

That's what I have. Also Samsung are really great too. I hate Toshiba with a passion.

came across a decently priced panasonic

I wont have to play the "panel lottery" with LG trying to get a IPS instead of a VA panel
though cons are again no analog out and I have to pay tax [IMG] which comes to $490 with tax (I can just go and pick up up)

Im pretty sure I will buy it and to solve the audio problem I will just do my idea of getting a cheap composite switcher and running audio out from every device
