Does R4DS rom trimmer 2.0 have any flaws or defects on gameplay?

Yes.

Luminous Arc - SRPG
Eco Creatures: Save the Forest - RTS
Heroes of Mana - RTS (not that great)
Rondo of Swords - SRPG (just released)

Hmm... That's all the good ones I can think of.

Don't know, I use Rominator and it works great

Why does everyone always forget these when they ask about tactical strategy?

Panzer Tactics
Steel Horizon
Age of Empires

The Advance Wars titles are great too.

I also support Front Mission being good.

And if you can do Japanese language, they have some titles as well.

Daisenryaku Great Strategy is one I'm trying to translate for laughs.

Ah I always forget the awesomeness that is the Age of Empires. Great game, played it for a stupid amount of time (bought it) and really loved the Feudal age.

Hoshigami Remix
Front Mission DS (Front Mission 2089 soon too, also a Gundam SRPG and a Fire Emblem I think).
FFTA2 soon
FFXII Revenant Wings

I second all of those played them and loved them... though fire emblem isn't released yet I am looking forward to it... I've loved the fire emblem games from a young age... now i just hope it'll get a US or even better a EUR release(saves me import costs)

as for the gundam games... they are great if you know japanese or don't mind using a faq... and if you don't I'd suggest zoids as well

I like Days of Ruin and Rondo of Swords, but i find that one of the levels for Rondo of Swords is hard to pass and unfortunately, you cannot return to previous levels to train

. Final Fantasy XII had bad graphics but i liked it overall. Its just a shame that it doesn't have multiplayer capabilities. Front Mission was good. You could customize your wanzers with your own weapons. I thought that the Age of Empires wasn't that great since the story was annoying. I haven't tried Luminous Arc yet so i dunno how good it is. I think i'll try it.

Some of us actually enjoy slow paced turn based strategy.

Can't wait for Civ Revolution to hit the DS! Probably be playing that for a long long time, no pun intended.

Too bad Blizzard threatened to sue the people that tried to port Starcraft to the DS. They got a working version for the terran and it wasn't too shabby. If they could make it to go online, we might have seen an explosion for DS.

Advance wars dual strike/days of ruin
Luminous Arc
FFTA2 (jap atm, eng in june i think)

if you also consider GBA
3x Fire Emblem (the one thats not translated has a translation patch on the net)
more Advance Wars
FFTA
Yggra Union (can't personally vouch for that one tho, haven't played it myself)

And those would be my picks.

Speaking of the forgotted games:
Mage Knight (mediocre story but if you turn off the annoying dice feature you'll find that the strategy is pretty good)
WarHammer ( mediocre but I know a few people who like it)
Ys Strategy (poor - would not recommend)

Also Drone Wars will be out in a couple of weeks. I played the first few levels of the japanese release (Insect Wars) and it was pretty good. Played like Front Mission with anime storytelling.
