'GO VACATION' For Nintendo Switch Announced

A game somewhat akin to the Wii Sports Resort is coming to a Nintendo Switch near your this summer!

From sky diving and beach volleyball to tennis and even snowball fights, Kawawii island offers something for everyone, with more than 50 different games and activities to enjoy.

Created by BANDAI NAMCO, GO VACATION includes a variety of cooperative and competitive games that can be played solo or with up to four players – via a single Nintendo Switch console or local wireless connection. Several activities offer the option to use motion controls, making swinging your tennis racket and throwing snowballs even more fun and immersive.

While exploring – either on foot, on horseback, on a snowmobile and more – you’ll discover numerous collectibles, challenges and other opportunities to level up and customise your character. Decorate your own villa, enjoy a delicious meal at one of the food trucks, and snap in-game photos of the dozens of adorable animals hiding in each resort. Regular challenges and presents, like special costumes and different dog breeds, will keep players coming back for hours of Kawawii island adventures.

GO VACATION arrives on the Nintendo Switch this July 27th.

Is this open world? Like you just wander around the island and can find any of these numerous activities to activate? Because I actually really like the idea of that. Of course for those not interested in exploring the island like that, it would still be nice to quickly jump to any activity by pulling up a menu if you wish.

Sorta, you wander around and free roam the different "stations"/centers, but you can't free roam the entire island at once alas GTA

1) Looks like Nintendo is letting other mutha**ckas do their job for them ;)

2) Bandai Namco, PLEASE add Mii support! This game just wouldn't feel right without it.

3) While I'm at it, I want to see a Switch version of Kamen Rider Climax Fighters with English Subs. Make it so, Bandai Namco!

I could totally tell this was BANDAI NAMCO... the avatars haven't changed since We Ski!

...also, the skiing section is pretty much pulled straight from that game by the way...

Glad to see that people still remember the game! :D
I have the jingle in my head now... ah, the good old days where swordfighting, skydiving, and cycling was all we ever had to worry about...

Every time I see a game like this, I wish Nintendo would just hurry up and make a new console version of Pilotwings.

Do all the mini games use motion controls? Trying to find out if my three-year-old son can play it
Absolutely, all is motion controls, but I believe there's like 2 or 3 minigames that actually required to press B on the Wiimote. Half a year has passed without me touching the original game so my thoughts are a bit blurry :p

Oh, and bonus thing:
If you get the game and get to your home in-game (don't remember the exact name of the place), spam minus then B over and over again to annoy your friends/family hehehehe
