Homebrew Getting to Homebrew Menu Before Initializing System

Can't a modified Ninjhax/OOThax payload be made to launch directly into a .bin? Have any of you tried Gateway's hax saves on Cubic Ninja/OOT with this?

Of course they can, people though are missing the point that the OP is attempting this prior to the system launching the home menu.

Before any payloads can be launched, the exploit needs to take control/exploit a set of services (which at the point the OP is), that aren't running.

So bare minimum .bins cannot be run? That blows

Not *exactly*.
It is just by far the easiest way to get code execution.
Building code through ROP is very tedious and building any kind of widget with it is hard. So much easier to just take over a perfectly functional and extant sysmodule.
