So it's pretty obvious a 2GB memory card will fill up fast if I plan on downloading games via eShop.
I plan to get a new SD card, probably a 64GB one.

How can I copy my software, extra data, etc. over to the new SD card?

Oh, alright, thanks for the info.
I never noticed the HC and XC on them, lol.
I'll knock the size down and get a 16 or 32GB one just to play safe.

As the link above says. The maximum the 3DS can handle is a 32GiB SDHC.

As for copy to new cd card.

Just copy everything to your computer, then copy everything to the new sd card.

If you can connect two memory cards at once simply copy paste into the new SD card from the old one.

So just get a 16/32 GiB SDHC card.

I post some game sizes so you know around how much space you need:

Animal Crossing: NA: 6002 Blocks EU: 6336 Blocks JP: 8192 Blocks. (8 blocks is 1MiB so 6336 / 8 = 795MiB)

Resident Evil Revelations: 27 000 blocks or 3.3GiB (this is the biggest game I have seen around so far)

Most other games range's from 512MiB-1GiB. And some games like RE:R take 2-4GiB but is rare.
