Hello..updated to cIOS38_rev14 last night..and updated to firmware 4.0.

So after doing that I got that little SD card symbol on my system menu. Clicked on it to have a look..and it starts to load then just crashes, freezes completely. So I have to power off the Wii.

So, then I tried going in to data management, looked at the save games..some on the wii itself, havent got any on the SD card. Then went to the the channels section. A few things on the Wii itself..HBC, backup launchers, VC games etc..clicked on SD and it says bannerbomb(says do I want to launch it straight away, as it did obviously when I first modded the wii..not really sure what im meant to delete to stop that happening). Anyway I said no obviously..

Then I just pressed back a few times to get back to the system menu and it crashed to a dos like screen and gave me this

This is normal, the SD card feature was added in sysmenu 4.0.....the bannerbomb exploit remaining on your SD card while going into the SD browse portion of your systemenu and other places is causing your headache. You'll have to remove it if you'd like to access those features w/o issue

Bannerbomb is still coming up?
Do you want it to appear?

The little SD card on the Wii Menu will make the wii freeze if you have bannerbomb on the SD card still.
I will also freeze when going onto the SD section on data managment.

Remove/move bannerbomb from you sd card as it will crash if you try to go to sd card menu with it on your sd card.

Now, my only problem is I dont know where the hell bannerbomb is on the sd card..

I figured it would be blatant on the root of the card somewhere..but cant see it.

There's no boot.dol files on the root or anything. When I first did this I just used a sofmodding for dummies thing, which set up my SD card for me after I opened a .bat file.

Where is bannerbomb usually put?

Or to save this hassle, could I just delete it from the data management channels thing on the wii? Would that get rid and solve the problem?

EDIT

sorry, nevermind..I got it. Its the private folder..read the bannerbomb sticky thread. renamed the folder to privatebannerbomb.

The trouble with being spoon feed is that one day you may choke on the spoon.

Go to wiibrew.org and find out about Bannerbomb. Learn about how bannerbomb works and you will find out the correct location of bannerbomb. Once you find out were it is stored on SD card then delete it from your SD card. That is what is causing your problem so get to it. Deleting channels is not going to fix anything.
