I had an old 3DS with a few problems and i had it on cfw luma + a9lh but i had to revert back to the original firmware ( for warranty purpose ) so i can send it back to the store i bought it from so they could fix it what i did was backup everything thay was on the sd card when it was on luma then i uninstalled a9lh using the app from the hb launcher then used hourglass to restore nand backup and update it to 11.2.
Now that i got my 3ds back from the store can i restore it to cfw + a9lh just by copy paste the backup of the files i made to my sd card when my console was on cfw ?

Yeah as long as you have the OTP and things you can skip needing to downgrade to 2.1

If you formatted it, i think you need to get the OTP again, so just to be safe follow https://3ds.guide/ again.

Nand backup w/ a9lh should restore fine.

Safehax into decrypt9 and restore the nand.bin alternatively if you have the otp.bin you can safehax into sa9lhinstaller

I'd do the guide all over again. Who knows what they did when they fixed ur 3ds. U didn't mention what was done. I think it's ur safest bet to start over. It's not hard and only takes an hour

I agree that your safest bet is to start over using the following guide. After you have A9LH installed, you can attempt to restore your old NAND backup. If it doesn't work, you can just revert back to the new NAND backup you will have made.

However, if Nintendo changed some hardware, merely using your previous OTP could potentially brick your 3DS.

@proflayton123 @HyperT Keep in mind he said he sent his console to get fixed at Nintendo. We don't know what the issue was. If they changed hardware then suggesting him using his old OTP is .. not a good idea. Best to start from beginning to be safe and flash the backup into it after having followed the guide. If it flashes into it okay then chances are you could've skipped the steps to begin with .. but better safe than sorry?

You're right, plus they said store not Ninty - so I think they are more likely to have just replaced with a refurb.

OP hopefully you can visually identify the shell as the same one, and you should check the serial number under the battery matches.
