Doesn't the game support pokemon bank? Just transfer them to bank and start a new game until you got all three.

It wont support pokemon bank before 2017.

The game isn't even released yet, and bank won't be compatible til january.

That's a shame. I thought that the january update is only to add support for the VC games. Is trading at least unlocked at the start of the game?

While I am not exactly an advocate for things like pkhex, it appears it is the only way to get what OP wants given the criteria.

Yup, PKHeX is what you need. Anything that involves breeding has to wait until you get to the second island.

You could just get the starter, and when editing the save clone it two times with PKHeX. Change the species and moves, roll again the PID and encryption constant (optional) and you're good to go.

You could use the NTR plugin if its been updated for the wild pokemon modifier.

If you manage to get a male and female of each starter you can breed them without a Ditto. I'm guessing you won't be able to get a Ditto until after beating the game.

Maybe we could make a community save and try get male + female versions of each starter, then people can either trade them over from a second 3DS or import them with PKHEX and breed them. That way you have legit starters where you are the OT.

I don't think so.. Haven't played in a while, but I didn't have any issues in D/P and B/W?

here you go, find your trainer id in your game or just look on another pokemon you own in pk hex, and change tid and sid and OT with pkhex

I mean offline trading between two 3DS systems. On some games you must reach a certain point to unlock trading.

You can do it after you unlock the Rotom Dex if I recall correctly. Within 2 hours.

Not true. In GBA Sapphire, Black(2) and Alpha Sapphire, I had those Wild Pokemon still listening to me despite not having the proper badges and I leveled them higher than the badge's level limits. Heck I got bored and overleveled one of my Pokemon, and they were STILL listening to me.

It is since generation 1 like this. Every Pokemon, that you catched, will listen to you.

Only Pokemon you got from trading won't listen, if their level is too high.

Also, Wonder Trade for now is filled with Yungoos only, so don't try to get your starters there.
